Don't panic! We use high-quality, non-toxic acrylic paints for our kits. Because acrylic paints are water-based and dry quickly, they can sometimes become thick or dry out due to temperature changes during transit or if the lid isn't sealed perfectly.
Fortunately, this is very common and usually incredibly easy to fix! Here is what you should do:
Method 1: The Quick DIY Fix (Highly Recommended)
If the paint has become thick, sticky, or slightly dry, you can easily revive it because acrylic paint is water-soluble:
- Add 1 to 2 drops of warm water into the paint pot. (Be careful not to add too much water, or the paint will become too thin to cover the numbers on the canvas).
- Use a toothpick or the back end of your paintbrush to stir the paint thoroughly for a few minutes.
- Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes. The paint should return to its smooth, buttery consistency!
- Optional: You can also use a drop of professional "acrylic flow improver" or "paint thinner" if you have some at home.
Method 2: Request a Free Replacement Set
If the paint is completely rock-hard and cannot be revived with warm water, you do not need to return the kit! We will happily send you a replacement paint set for free.
Please follow these steps:
- Send an email to service@paintsuper.com.
- Include your Order Number.
- Attach a clear photo showing the completely dried-out paint pots.
- Tell us the specific color numbers that are dry, or let us know if you need a completely new set of all colors.
Our customer support team will process your request within 1-2 business days and ship out your replacement paints as quickly as possible.
💡 Pro Tips to Keep Your Paints Fresh:
- Only open one color at a time: Acrylic paint dries rapidly when exposed to air.
- Close the lid tightly: Every time you take a break or switch colors, make sure you hear the lid "click" shut.
- Clean the rim: Sometimes paint builds up around the rim of the pot, preventing the lid from closing completely. Wipe the rim clean before closing.
