Yes, absolutely! We want your painting experience to be completely stress-free.
We use advanced design software to calculate the exact surface area of every single color on your specific canvas. Based on that calculation, we provide the required amount of paint and then add an extra 20% to 30% of paint into each pot. For custom kits or designs with large background areas, we automatically include double pots of the most used colors.
However, because everyone has a different painting style, some painters use more paint than others. Here are some pro tips to ensure your paint easily lasts from the first stroke to the last:
1. A Little Goes a Long Way
Our acrylic paints are highly pigmented and spread very smoothly. You don't need to scoop up a large amount of paint on your brush. Apply a thin, even layer. If you apply the paint too thickly (like a 3D texture), you might run out.
2. The Light Color Trick (Important!)
Many people run out of light colors (like white, pale yellow, or light pink) because they apply multiple thick layers trying to cover the black printed numbers on the canvas.
- Pro Tip: Instead of using extra paint, take a white colored pencil or a white crayon and lightly color over the black number before you paint that section. The number will disappear instantly, and you will only need one thin layer of paint!
3. Keep the Lids Tightly Closed
Acrylic paint is water-based and dries rapidly when exposed to air. If you leave the lid open while you paint, the paint will evaporate, thicken, and eventually harden, which wastes a lot of paint. Always snap the lid completely shut (wait for the "click") when you are not actively dipping your brush.
4. Wash Your Brush Frequently
If paint dries inside the bristles of your brush, it wastes paint and ruins the brush. Rinse your brush in water and dry it on a paper towel every time you switch colors or take a break.
