However, there is one crucial rule you must follow: You must match the canvas size to the number of people.
Here is why: A standard canvas has a limited amount of space. If you put a photo of 8 people on a small canvas, each person's face will be the size of a small coin. Our design software cannot generate facial features (eyes, noses, smiles) in such a tiny area. If the faces are too small, they will simply become blank, flesh-colored blobs on the canvas, which we know you don't want!
To make sure everyone in your photo looks amazing and recognizable, please follow this sizing guide:
- 1 people: 12×16″ (30×40cm).
- 2–3 people: 16×20″ (40×50cm).
- 4–6 people: 20×24″ (50×60cm) or larger.
- 7+ people: 24×36″ (60×90cm).
- For any group, we recommend the 48-color option.

Whenever you are painting human faces, especially multiple faces, we highly recommend selecting the 48-Color Option instead of the standard 24 colors. Skin tones require very subtle color gradients. Having 48 colors ensures that the shadows and highlights on everyone's faces look natural and realistic, rather than blocky.
